Here is one of many pictures we took today of the canals. We saw hundreds of people out in boats of all kinds, with picnics, wine and beer and music, having big and small parties on the water. Life in Amsterdam seems to be just wonderful. It's very expensive to buy anything but nearly everyone rides very simple, ordinary bikes and they live life differently. It sure looks like a lot of fun.
